For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
First, we would like to wish you a joyful Christmas and happy 2011!! This season of advent, we have enjoyed sharing the story of Jesus’ birth with our 2 ½ year old son, Nate. He loves hearing Bible stories and even thinks Santa Claus is Noah. Nate’s favorite things right now are football, monster trucks, and construction trucks. He likes to shout out “backhoe loader” or “concrete mixer” as we drive along the streets. Nate just moved to his new “big boy” bedroom to make space for his little sister. He is anxious to meet her and loves to tell others that he is a big brother now.
Jeremy and I have enjoyed getting ready for our baby girl. It has seemed like a long pregnancy, but we are counting down to her arrival in February. We feel incredibly blessed and are eager to meet this little child that God designed to be a part of our family.
Finally, we would like to share some news that has not been posted on our blog or facebook. We have been accepted as missionaries with an organization called ReachGlobal. We will be spending next year planning and preparing to go overseas to Ethiopia in 2012. Jeremy plans to work in a missionary hospital training Ethiopian doctors, and I will serve orphans in the community. We are very excited about this opportunity and look forward to sharing more details with you in the future.
Love,
Jeremy, Christina, & Nate
