Taylor is One Month Old

Taylor turned one month old on March 2nd. She weighed in at 7lbs and 2 oz with a height of 19 inches. She wore preemie clothes for the first few weeks and is only now beginning to wear her newborn outfits.

Nate calls her "Taylor Sister" and this has become her nickname. She has been an easy baby so far and is seldom fussy. Everyone says she looks like her mommy and mommy's baby photos confirm this.

She slept so much this month that we called the pediatrician to make sure everything was okay (it was). She is not a fan of bath time but like every Gabrysch girl loves to have her hair done. She remained in the fetal position for the first 3 weeks. Her little legs were so strong that it made it challenging to stretch them out to change her diapers. She is the queen of hiccups and gets them at least once a day. (She had these often in the womb too.) Eating is her big workout as she moans, groans, grunts, and slurps her way through feedings. She sighs and breathes heavily when she is finished. Then to our amusement, she will burp and toot like a grown man.

We are enjoying the newborn stage, aside from the night feedings and are looking forward to seeing her smile and interact with us more in the upcoming weeks.
